Roleplay Experience: several other harry potter sites as well as a few others...[/ul]
Basics
Nicknames: Prongs
Age: 15
Birthday: January 18
Year: 5th
House: Gryffindor[/ul]
Physical
James is fairly tan from spending so much time outdoors and playing quidditch. Quidditch has also helped him add more bulk to himself, and he now has a toned stomach, and a decent amount of muscle. He fancies himself quite strong and takes the opportunity to show-off when it comes up. James usually wears simple clothing, anything that is comfortable. He doesn’t see any need to dress up, so when he's not in his robes, he's in a pair of jeans and a plain t-shirt. James has pearly white teeth, which adds to his swoon-worthy smile. Once he flashes his smile, the girls seem to melt right before his eyes. James is of average height, and is about 5'10, which is just tall enough for him.

Mental
James is very arrogant. He thinks he is almost perfect and everyone loves him. He tends to be an attention-seeker and he feeds off of the attention he receives from his peers at school. He will pull outrageous stunts, just to get attention from other students. Some may find this pathetic, but James doesn't care. He can often be seen by the black lake playing catch with a snitch, just to receive attention from onlookers. James is a very outspoken person. He isn't afraid to say what he feels and stand up for what he believes in. He acts on his feelings without thinking them through first. Though he has many feelings of superiority these are due to his skills as a magician and star quidditch player, not his pureblood ancestry. In fact, he tends to defend people against the slytherins who spout mudblood taunts (thought his may only be due to his massive crush on Lily Evans).
James is the Ultimate Prankster, besides Sirius, of course. He is well-known for the pranks and tricks he plays on others. James seems to always have something up his sleeves, and most of the time he lands himself in detention. James could care less about the consequences. As long as he and his friends get a good laugh out of it. This has given them the reputation as the biggest troublemakers ever to cross Hogwarts doors (until the Weasley twins).
James is very persistant. And he won't stop until he gets what he wants. A great example of this would be his constant pushing at getting Lily to go out with him. He has been trying for years, and will keep on trying until he gets her. James could get just about any other girl in the school, but he wants Lily. He is very flirtatious. Although he is chasing after Lily, it doesn't mean he can't have any fun in the meantime. He ignorantly doesn’t realize that this may be one of the reasons that she refuses to have anything to do with him. He is often found flirting and teasing other young women. He'll have a few snogging session here and there, and he may go out with a girl every now and then, but he knows that Lily is the one for him, even if she doesn't know that just yet.
Likes: - Girls, quidditch, roaming the school at night, his friends, Lily Evans, attention
Dislikes: slytherins, snape, schoolwork, being stuck inside, being talked down to
Patronus: Stag
Talents: Transfiguration, Charms, Quidditch, charming women (except lily), causing trouble, quick-wit
Boggart: everyone ignoring him
Life Goals: Marry Lily Evans, Become a Quidditch Player, Have Fun with Sirius, Be Happy, Live a Carefree Life[/ul]
Family
Siblings: only child
Personal History:James couldn't ask for a better childhood. He had very loving parents who gave him anything his heart desired. James was born to slightly older parents who were very wealthy, and thus, was never denied anything. His parenst were so grateful that they had been blessed with a child after so many years and could not be more proud of him in all of his achievements. Even when he proved early in life to be a troublemaker, causing mischief all the time, his parents couldn’t bring themselves to scold him or stay angry too long.
Since his parents were so wealthy, James lived in a very large home out in the middle of nowhere. James didn't always enjoy the quietness of living in the country, and having nothing to do. But there was vast space to ride his broom and practice his quidditch skills, even if he had to practice alone most of the time. The house was nearly always empty, besides James, his parents, and a couple servants. James would sometimes have his friends over, and they would cause some mischief. James took this mischivious tendency with him to Hogwarts.
Right before James' sixth year, his best friend Sirius Black, had a fall-out with his family, and James and his parents, welcomed him into their home. Sirius is like the brother James never had, and he was more than happy to allow Sirius to stay with him, and his parents didn't seem to mind either. They enjoyed watching James have someone to hang out with on the long, boring days, even if it meant having to keep an eye open to the pranks that soon filled the house.[/ul]
Other
Instead of heading back to the claustrophobic atmosphere of his dorm or heading to the library only to hear whispers about the forthcoming ball, Jake had dashed back to the dungeons to get his broom and then escaped to the quidditch pitch.
He didn't realize how much he had missed flying these past weeks until he was up in the air again. Quidditch practice hadn't officially started yet and so he had not felt this weightless sensation in a while. Sure, when practice did start he was sure that he would begrudge the sight of any broom. After all, the drills and conditioning that Vlad would put them through was excrucaitingly grueling and left you sore in every place of you body. As keeper he couldn't exactly practice by himself. After all the greatest asset in a keeper were quick reflexes and timing. Concentration and the ability to predict your opponents next move. These were skills that Jake had always had. Flying ability seemed to come naturally to all of the Potters. After all, his father had been the youngest student ever on a house team and both of his siblings also played very well.
Initially, he took to racing around the pitch. He would get up to full speed and watch his surroundings turn into nothing but a blur of red, green, blue, and grey. Sometimes he would time himself and see how quickly he could lap the field, shaving seconds off with each renewed effort. All of this may have seemed fruitless, since the keepers position was a rather stationary one, but Jake liked to think that it helped.
After he had satisfied his craving for wind and speed, he flew towards one end of the pitch where the golden rings were situated. He took out his wand and conjured up a quaffle replica. Then he enchanted it to zoom repeatedly towards the goals. He found that this was the best way of occupying his mind and keeping it from thinking about other, more troubling things like getting a date for the upcoming ball. Concentration. Think only about the ball. he told himself.
