Sitting up against the wall, underneath of an opened window, he jean covered legs stretched out in front of her. A thin girl let a sigh slip from her lips. She was quite bored and didn't know what to do in this hour of the day. Ariana Finnigan had just walked back from the Great Hall, after dinner of course, and decided she didn't want to go back to the common room. So, automatically she just sat down in the hall, like she usually does out of boredum.
Leaning her head back on the bricks, Ari hummed softly to herself. What on earth had got this girl so bored, probably the lack of friends she had in the Gryffindor house. Even though she had been here for nearly five year, Ariana still hadn't made to many friends, though you'd think she would have that best friends. The friend she could turn and talk to in her time of need? HA HA yeah right! Truth be told, Ariana had the worst time making friends. Of course she had the occasionally people that she would have a conversation with for like five minutes, but thats it.
Sighing, Ariana pushed all the thoughts out of her mind, as she sat in a dimly torch lit hall. Her eyes scanned the emptiness as they fall upon the picture straight across from her. It wasn't moving, but looking directly at her. Ariana had a questionable look upon her face, she was greatly confused. The pictures would look at you passing but stare? That was just plan weird.

Romeo wandered down the corridor aimlessly, never letting his eyes wander from the dusty floor beneath his feet. He hadn't eaten supper once again, in fact he hadn't eaten in the past three days. He wasn't trying to starve himself necessarily, his mind was just too caught up in his emotions over the past couple of days. That's all. He wasn't looking for attention or anything, despite what others were saying about him.
What's the use of being named after one of the most famous lovers in history when you couldn't even get a girl and keep her? That's right. Romeo Davis had just lost another girl! Ravenclaw this time. They hadn't known each other very long, but still, it sucked being dumped for like the hundredth time. Was it really his fault that he didn't want to take it to the next level just quite yet? He was saving himself for that certain someone. Damn women...
Cursing under his breath, he sat down on the top most step of the fourth floor corridor and pulled out his journal and an old muggle ink pen and began writing furiously.
Oh gentle winds 'neath moonlit skies, Do not you hear my heartfelt cries?
Below the branches, here about, Do not you sense my fear and doubt? Side glistening rivers, sparkling streams, Do not you hear my woeful screams?
Upon the meadows, touched with dew, Do not you see my hearts askew? Beneath the thousand twinkling stars, Do not you feel my jagged scars?
Seek not my mournful heart kind breeze, For you'll not find it 'mongst these trees.
It's scattered 'cross the moonlit skies, Accompanied by heartfelt sighs. It's drifting o're the gentle rain, A symbol of my silent pain.
It's buried 'neath the meadow fair, Conjoined with all the sorrow there. It's lost among the stars this night, Too far to ease my quiet fright.
No gentle winds, seek not my heart, For simply ... it has torn apart.
Looking down at his poem, he stuck the end of his pen in his mouth and bite down at it every so often, cutting a whole in it with his teeth and letting the ink seep out and stain his lips and tongue blue. He hated writing break up poems, but yet they were his only inspiration, the only thing that he had any experience in. Letting out a low grunt, he ripped out the page and crushed it into a ball, throwing it across the hall in frustration.

Ariana's head turned as she heard someone walking down the hall. It was a young gentleman, whom apparently had not seen her. Shrugging she didn't really think much of it, but once he through the paper on the floor she smiled. "For me?" She asked, as the paper slid nearby here. It only sounded good at the time, but Ariana probably sounded stupid saying it, since she didn't even know him.
Well it was to late to take it back down. Pushing the thoughts out of her mind, Ariana smiled looking up at the boy. Picking up the paper she spoke "Mind if i read it?" She asked, though she wasn't sure what was wrote on it, but she could see some marks, so she knew something was most definately on it. Waiting, quiet felt the halls. The air through the corridors was chilly, giving Ariana cold chills up her spine. Most of the time she only got cold chills was when she was around a Slytherin.
Assuming, that this boy was a Slytherin, Ariana looked away. Once she had introduced herself, then made note of being a Gryffindor, they usually went away.

"For me?"
Romeo tensed up at the sound of a womans voice and just sat there frozen to the spot for several moments before realization dawned on him. He knew that voice. In fact he knew it very well, having dreamed of it several times during his teenage years. Turning around slowly in his seat, he let his eyes fall upon the young woman who was currently sitting with her back up against the wall. How had he not noticed her there when he had passed by? Oh yeah, he was on a teenage rampage at the time.
"Mind if i read it?"
"No it is not for you and yes I do mind.." He spat, trying to act all tough and Slytherinish, which definately wasn't him. Besides, he wasn't very good at it anyways. His poems had ruined their relationship to begin with, and he wasn't about to have her laugh at him again. "Now, if you don't mind..I would like to have that back please?" He asked through gritted teeth.

Ariana couldn't help but laugh. It was just weird to see Romeo trying to act all tough and stuff, so it was funny. Smiling softly, Ariana stood up off the floor, to be able to look at him better. "Oh.." she girnned. "Well next time you should think about throwing things on the floor." She paused. "Next time you should watch who the hell you are throwing them around!" she groaned at him.
Truth be told, Ariana was a little annoyed with the way he had been acting the past couple of years. She was in fact not going to let it bother her, she refuses to let anyone put her down, main a guy. Letting the smile stay on her face, Ariana just watched him. "Fine." she spoke up loudly and annoyed. Throwing the paper back onto the floor. "Pick it up where you left it!" she told him, crossing her arms acrossed her chest.

Romeo glared as she came back with her little cocky remarks. She still was the right well bitch that she was when she had turned him down. Maybe he was lucky that he hadn't gone through with her? She would probably just make his life hell anyways. No, that couldn't be true. She's an angel. Wait! What? Romeo groaned placing a hand to his head in mental confusion. She had always had this effect on him.
"Pick it up where you left it!"
Letting out a cat like hiss, he scrambled onto his feet and bent to pick it up where it lay several feet away from her, giving her a nice view of his snitch designed boxers that were showing from his sagging jeans. "Well aren't you in mood." He replied, leaning his back up against the railing. "I suspect that its your time of the month again is it?" He questioned, continueing on with his fake taunts.

Ariana couldn't help but snicker a laugh. Smirking, she watched Romeo pick up his paper, laughing at his boxers. "Nice snitch's." she giggled, with a wink. Groaning the the statement he made towards her and she rolled her eyes about it. He was an ass to her and she couldn't stand it. But he was so cute, with a cute..... 'Ariana get a hold of yourself, idiot.' she thought to herself. Ariana erased the images from her mind, before looking back at Romeo again.
"No.." Ariana spoke up, trailing off. "Its my time of the month... everyday!" She scoulded a little bit, hissing at him. Even though she was a Gryffindor, she did have a hot temper that nearly got her placed into Slytherin. The sorting hat had a hard time placing her, took nearly 10 minutes to decide. And sadly, Gryffindor placed over every single house.

"Nice snitch's."
"Thanks..I picked them out just for you..I know how much you dream of being in them one day.." Romeo taunted, getting a dreamy look on his face at the idea of letting her be his first. Shaking his head to clear the images out of his mind, he shuddered and returned his attention back to her small form on the floor. Stupid Idiot! Don't think of her like that! You know what she does to you! His mind argued.
"Its my time of the month... everyday!"
Romeo laughed and nodded his head in agreement. "Should have known..you've always been an uptight bitch.." He replied, putting a hand to his mouth in shock. Gasp! Romeo Davis just cursed at a girl! That wasn't like him. He was always nice and polite to women, well sometimes.
Looking down at the floor, he muttered a small "sorry" for his words.

Ariana grinned. "Oh yes, let me tell you. That is my every waking fantasy." She laughed, but turned a little red in the face, thank goodness she wasn't looking at him. As the red faded away, Ariana finally looked up at him. Her head was spinning in so many directions, she was quite confused. 'Ariana, don't be a fool.' she thought to herself.
Looking directly at Romeo, she laughed. "I'm only an uptight bitch because you made me that way!" she shot back at him, grinning. Wow, that was a pretty goo comeback, if you asked her. Smirking, Ariana offically felt stupid. Why was it that everytime she talked or seen Romeo it always ended up in a heated arguement or just plainly agnoring each other.

Romeo only stood there, awkwardly as she had her little embarrassed fit, not knowing if he should just turn and run or stay there. Should have left while you had the chance.. The little voice inside of his head taunted. "Oh shut up.." He muttered under his breath, shaking his head once again to clear his thoughts. Stupid Gryffindork! She always had to go and get him all confused, didn't she!
"I'm only an uptight bitch because you made me that way!"
"I made you that way!?" He gasped in shock, taking a couple of steps toward her with clenched fists. "I think you've got it all wrong! I have only of been nice to you. And you just blow me off without an explanation, so don't you dare blame your bitchiness on me!" He argued, his english accent coming in thick.

Ariana watched Romeo as he just stood there for the moment. The same smile still upon her face, until he finally walked towards her a little bit. She grinned, letting out a laugh at his reply.
"Did you ever think why I would have acted the way I did?" Ariana spoke up, asking him. "Did you ever put aside the whole Gryffindor Slytherin bull? Did you even take time to sit down and think about what you did before you did it?" she asked him, staring at him directly in the eyes."And it wasn't that I wanted to blow you off. Dear, you are a Slytherin. I am a Gryffindor and that is something we have to deal with. It wouldn't have been anything for me not to show off that poem, which was very good by the way." She smiled softly, but contunied to talk.
"Did you ever think, 'oh maybe this girl has a boyfriend?' " She looked at him, sternly. "Did you ever think that maybe a real conversation, instead of just a hi, bye type of conversation. Did you ever take time to sit down and get to know me? Did you ever sit down and take time out of your day to relize I am NOTHING like all those bitches in Slytherin?!" Ariana asked him, scoulding afterwards under her breath. Everything that she had built up inside over the past couple of years, was finally coming out and atleast it was coming out on the right person. "Do you want to know why I did what I did?" She paused, still looking directly at him, instead of her eyes roaming all over the place like most people would do. "Do you want to know what the whole bitch stuff was about?" she asked him, waiting patiently, but still looking at him.

Romeo frowned and scratched the top of his head as she began to explode on him. Part of what she was saying was the truth, but that was only a tiny part. He HAD tried to take the time to get to know her, but the fact that they were in two completely different houses had caused a problem for their relationship to grow. "YOU DIDN'T HAVE A BOYFRIEND!" He snapped, taking a tiny , almost unnoticable step forward. "Maybe it was just a trick to make you look stupid..afterall i'm just a Slytherin.." He replied sarcastically. "How much harm do you think I could do? I was only twelve god damnit!"
"Do you want to know what the whole bitch stuff was about?"
Romeo quieted down at her next comment, his breathing deepening from anger and confusion that she was putting him through. Wasn't it enough that he had to spend the last four years hiding from her in embarassment? "Yeah, Miss Finnigan..I would like to know what all the bitch stuff about! I think I deserve an explanation don't I?" He asked with a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

Ariana was flaring with angry, she just wanted to kill him at the moment in time because she was so bad, but she wasn't that kind of person. Taking a deep breath, she listened to him as he spoke. "Okay, maybe I didn't quite have a boyfriend at the time." she paused, looking at Romeo. "But did you ever wonder why I was going to Hogsmeade alot? Wonder why when I went to Hogsmeade I was extremely hard to find?" she questioned him, her face turning a litlte red from not breathing from the long sentence. She took a deep breath, "I was in the muggle town down the rode. I was 'talking' to a muggle down there!" she groaned in reply. Ariana had just told him something she had never told anyone. She was only young, still, but was talking to some sixteen year old muggle boy in the town over.
Sighing, Ariana let the anger fade away. "Do you really want to know?" She questioned up. Thinking for a moment, she was unsure what to say. But without warning and without thinking, Ariana stepped close to Romeo, giving him a soft kiss on the lips. Pulling back, "Maybe it was because I liked you too." she told him. Sighing and taking a deep breath, Ariana looked away. She turned her back to him without looking back and slowly walked the opposite direction in the hall. She couldn't believe she actually said that, it was just weird. Ariana wanted to just rewind everything she had said, but she couldn't.

"Do you really want to know?"
Romeo nodded frantically, wondering what on earth she was going to say. But just as he went to scratched the back of his head, she had advanced on him and pressed her lips to his. It wasn't a major kiss, just a small peck on the lips, but that didn't stop him from making a small girlish squeal as she pulled away and turned her back to him. What was he to do now? Definately not stand there like a fish with his mouth open that's for sure. For a moment there, he completely forgot the fact that she had mentioned seeing a muggle at the time he had asked her out.
"Ariana?" He breathed, reaching out to grab her hand. He didn't force her hand to look at him or anything, just held it, rubbing the pad of his thumb across the smooth expanse of skin. "I like you too.." He replied, but as soon as he said it he knew that he sounded stupid. She already knew that you idiot! He cursed himself.

Before Ariana could make her distance away from Romeo, he had already grabbed her hand. She wanted to turn and look at him, but she refused to. She just couldn't bare herself to do so. She stood there, listening to him speak. He admitting liking her too, though of course, Ariana already knew that. Turning slowly around to look at him, a soft smile on her face. "But you know, like I know, it can never been." she told him honestly.
"It would be impossible." Ariana spoke up, taking her hand back from him and crossing them both behind her back, fiddling her fingers. "Its impossible to see a Gryffindor and Slytherin together in this school. It is impossible to see a Slytherin with anyone else BUT a slytherin." She looked at him, innocently. Ariana wanted to cry and just leave, but she didn't. Stupid her stood there waiting, waiting for a answer or a 'goodbye' to come from his lips. [[That was a horrible post.]]
